Ingredients

  • 1 jar cut nopales (cut "mexican" cactus) you can find it in the Hispanic food aisle or if you're daring you can get a couple of prickly pear cactus paddles (you can also find these in a mexican food store already cleaned) and take off their splinters and cut and boil them. shopping list
  • 11/2 lb chorizo shopping list
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion shopping list
  • pinch of salt and pepper shopping list

How to make it

  • Preheat large pan and cook the chorizo as directed on the package.
  • while chorizo is cooking, drain and rinse the napoles with water and set off to the side to drain excess water.chop the white onion and add to the drained nopales.
  • when chorizo is done cooking, take any grease and simply add the nopales with the onion and mix well. cook for another 10 mins or until nopales are warm. Serve with rice and beans! Enjoy!
