How to make it

  • Cream butter in mixer bowl until fluffy. Add blue cheese, flour, and seasonings, mixing until well blended. Stir in figs and walnuts, blending well. Chill dough for 5 minutes.
  • Divide dough into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a 6 inch log. Wrap each log in plastic wrap. Chill one hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice dough into 1/4 inch slices. Place on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Store in airtight container.
  • This dough freezes well. Thaw in refrigerator, then slice and bake according to directions.
