How to make it

  • Wash and cut the mushroom in slices. (not very thin)
  • PASTE 1: Paste the ginger and garlic. (add a little water while u paste them)
  • PASTE 2: Paste the onions, cloves, cardamom, turmeric powder, tomatoes, yogurt, garam masala and red chilli powder. (add a little water while u paste them)
  • In a microwave safe deep pan, mix these --> oil, PASTE 1 and the mushroom. Keep it in the oven for 6 minutes. <-- (Let's call this the MUSHROOM MIXTURE) (keep this mixture separately)
  • In another pan, put the PASTE 2 and microwave it for 15 minutes.
  • Then add 2 cups water and the peas to the microwaved-PASTE 2. Keep this in the oven for 15 minutes. (or more, till the peas are cooked finely)
  • Now add the MUSHROOM MIXTURE to this and again microwave for 10 minutes.
