How to make it

  • Combine the apple juice, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Do not bring to a hard boil. Add the orange juice and lemon juice. Heat just to serving temperature.
  • Long exposure to heat reduces the vitamin content of citrus fruits.
  • Serve immediately in mugs. Garnish with fruit slices that have been studded with cloves.

    This sounds delighfully kid and adult friendly. Probably a little dark rum wouldn't hurt it either?
