Crunchy Hot Chicken Salad

- 6 tbs butter, divided shopping list
- 1 cup celery, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup green pepper, diced shopping list
- 1/3 cup onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 to 3 tbs pimentos, diced shopping list
- 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained shopping list
- 2- 1/4 oz pkg. slivered almonds shopping list
- 4 cups cooked chicken, diced shopping list
- 1 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- 10-3/4 oz can cream of celery soup shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup corn flake cereal, crushed shopping list
How to make it
- Melt 4 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add vegetables and almonds. Saute until vegetables are tender; spoon into an ungreased 13x9 baking pan. Add chicken, mayonnaise, soup and salt; mix well. Melt remaining butter and toss with cereal; sprinkle over top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
