Carrot Rice

- rice - 2 cups(cooked) shopping list
- grated carrot - 1 cup shopping list
- green peas - 3/4 cup(boiled) shopping list
- chopped onion - 1 shopping list
- chopped green chillies - 3 shopping list
- mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp shopping list
- blackgram - 1/2 tsp shopping list
- bengalgram - 1/2 tsp shopping list
- cashewnuts - 7 shopping list
- curryleaves - few shopping list
- redchilly powder - 1/4 tsp shopping list
- oil - 3 tsp shopping list
- lemon juice - 1 tsp shopping list
- salt - to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Heat pan with oil. Add mustard seeds,blackgram,bengalgram,cashew and curryleaves.
- when cashew turn into brown, add onion and green chillies.
- fry till onion turns brown. Now add turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and grated carrot.
- mix well and close the pan with a lid and cook in low heat till the carrot become soft.
- then add boiled peas and lemon juice. stir for two mins.
- now add cooked rice and stir gently.
- serve hot with spicy potato roast.
