How to make it

  • peel the pawpaw, cut into four pieces, scrape the seeds and clean inside
  • wash the pawpaw and grate on a cheese grater
  • place the grated pawpaw with the sliced onion in a large bowl
  • sprinkle with a table spoon of salt
  • allow to stand for about 10 minutes..this is to remove excess water
  • now squeeze the pawpaw which would have soften by then
  • remove all the water
  • the put in a colander and rinse under fresh clean water to remove the excess salt
  • then squeeze in a tea cloth or kitchen towel to remove the water
  • add the garlic and ginger to the pawpaw
  • heat the oil in a large skillet and add pawpaw
  • stir fry for a few minutes
  • cover and reduce heat. allow to warm up for a few minutes
  • add the salt, pepper, chili and lemon
  • mix well
  • remove from heat and enjoy.....
