Simple Syrup Preserving

- 2 c sugar shopping list
- 1 c water shopping list
- 4 c fresh berries shopping list
How to make it
- Bring sugar and water to a boil in saucepan. Remove syrup from heat and cool to room temperature. Stir in berries and freeze in heavy duty resealable bag. Press out any air before sealing and freezing.
- Thaw preserved berries in the refrigerator the day before use or heat as needed in a saucepan. Use as a topping for cake,cheesecake or ice cream.
