I wanted to bake an applesauce cake, so following my instincts and created this delicious cake, I loved it because it keeps all the moisture of an apple cake and also looks and tastes like a a pound cake, so I think its incredible functional and delicious, enjoy! Read more ! See less
Ingredients
- FOR THE cake shopping list
- 2 cups of flour shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup of sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 200 grs. buttermilk shopping list
- 460 grs. applesauce shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. oil shopping list
- FOR THE DECORATION shopping list
- 1 can of dulce de leche or 240 grs. of homemade caramel ( I prefer dulce de leche) shopping list
- 4 grounded oatmeal cookies or granola (1/2 cup) shopping list
How to make it
- DIRECTIONS
- Pre-heat the oven to 325f degrees.
- In the blender add first the liquid ingredients
- And at the end the flour
- Mix perfectly and pour to a rectangular mold (previously greased)
- Bake for 45 min aprox.
- Let cake cool
- DECORATION
- Cover the cake with a thin layer of dulce de leche or caramel
- Sprinkle the grounded oatmeal cookies or maybe granola if you like
