How to make it

  • brown turkey in a decent sized pot over medium high flame. Season with salt and black pepper and some of the dried chili mixture. Once the turkey is browned add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and all dried ingredients. Bring to simmer. Simmer for about 30 minutes then add the beans. (I usually drain only one can of the beans, but you have to eyeball the thickness of the chili to your preference.) Bring back to simmer and reduce heat. Partially cover and simmer for about 30 additional minutes to allow flavors to incorporate. Serve hot. Top with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced jalapenos or whatever you like! (I also like to put my over white rice, but I'm a weirdo)
