Chestnut Honey Fennel Gelato

- 2 1/2 Cups Milk shopping list
- 1 cup Light Whipping Cream shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract shopping list
- 1/4 Cup Superfine Sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons Ground fennel shopping list
- 4 egg yolks shopping list
- 1/4 Cup Honey shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Canned Sweetened Chestnut Puree shopping list
How to make it
- Placing the milk,cream,vanilla,sugar,and fennel in saucepan over medium heat stirring all the while,and cook for a few minutes until the sugar dissolves and the milk is just about to boil.Remove from heat.
- Whisk the egg yolks and honey,then whisk in 1/4 cup of the hot miik mixture until smooth.Whisk in the remaining milk,then return to a clean saucepan,stirring all the while and heat for about 8 to 10 minutes or until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
- Do not allow to boil.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the chestnut puree.
- Cool slightly,then cover and refrigerate until cold.
- Transfer to an ice cream maker and freeze.
