- 1/2 Pound Hot Italian Sausage shopping list
- 2 Tablespoon Oil shopping list
- 6 chicken Drumsticks or Thighs (or) Whole Fowl shopping list
- 14 oz Stewed Tomatoes shopping list
- 3/4 Cup Rice,uncooked shopping list
- 1 Medium Green Pepper,cut into strips shopping list
- 1 Onion,sliced shopping list
- 1 clove garlic,finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper...not necessary if you use hot Italian shopping list
- Salt and Pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Tiny Peas shopping list
- 1 Cup Sprite shopping list
How to make it
- Brown sausage and chicken in oil,stir to break up the Italian sausage.
- Add the stewed tomatoes,along with their liquid,uncooked rice,green pepper,onion,garlic,salt,pepper,and Sprite.
- Turn the heat up to high,and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low,cover,and simmer,stirring about occasionally,until the chicken and rice are tender and the liquid is absorbed,about 20 minutes.
- Gently stir in the tiny peas.
- Heat through.
