Amazing Meat Loaf

My husband hates meat loaf and would cringe when I would suggest it for dinner; so that put me on a quest to make the best meat loaf he has ever had. Now when I say meat loaf he gets excited instead of running. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- Note: This recipe is not an exact science. Let your own taste adjust the measurements if something is too strong for you. This is how we like it :D shopping list
- 1 lb. ground beef (not too fatty) shopping list
- 1/2 shot Dalmore whiskey (cigar whiskey that is smokey and smooth) shopping list
- 1/2 tps. chinese five spice shopping list
- 1-2 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. thyme shopping list
- 1 tsp. oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp. bay leaves shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. sweetened ghirardelli cocoa powder shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Super simple:
- Add all the ingredients together and mix.
- Let the mixture sit in all it's yummy for at least 20 min.
- Put mix into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 until desired doneness.
- I like my meat loaf more done so 40 min.
- IMPORTANT: if you use a fattier beef be sure to pour off grease now and then. don't worry it will still be nice and moist.
