Alrighty. I have a 3 quart crock pot and wasn't sure how well this recipe would fit. My husband HATES garbanzo beans (I like them), so I left them out. It was still pretty squishy in my pot.
Next problem: I could not for the life of me find condensed black bean soup! My only option was a 15 oz (larger than the recipe calls for) NON-condensed soup. Again, I was worried it wouldn't fit in my crock. Plus, it was almost three dollars for the can. So I opted for a smaller can of vegetarian chili instead.
I also couldn't find a 14 oz can of chopped tomatoes in puree. They only had huge ones which would go to waste. So I got a 14oz can of chopped tomatoes and a little can of tomato paste. I put all of the diced tomatos, juice and all, in. I figured tomato paste + watery tomato juice = tomato puree (since puree is water and paste).
Don't care much for celery, so I left that out too. So I'm not sure if I can technically even rate this recipe, since what I ended up making was way diff.
One thing you need to take note of: the recipe listed above will not fit in a small crockpot. I left out the garbanzos and it barely fit.
