Mexican Winter Chili

- 1lb pork stew meat shopping list
- 2 TB olive oil shopping list
- 1 large onion,chopped shopping list
- 1 med. fresh poblano pepper,finely chopped shopping list
- 1 large sweet red pepper,cut in 1/2" pieces shopping list
- 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 tsp ground cumin shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon shopping list
- Dash of cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 14 oz. can chicken broth shopping list
- 1 15 oz can pumpkin shopping list
- 1/4 c whipping cream shopping list
- fresh cilantro shopping list
How to make it
- In Dutch oven,cook pork in hot oil over med-high heat 5 mins or till browned. Stir in onion,poblano and sweet pepper. Cook and stir 5 mins or till tender.
- Stir in cocoa,cumin,garlic powder,cinnamon,and cayenne. Add broth and 1/2 c water. Bring to boil;reduce heat. Simmer,covered,for 30 mins or till pork is tender.
- Stir in pumpkin,cream and salt and pepper to taste. Return to boiling;reduce heat. Simmer 5 mins. Top with fresh cilantro.
