How to make it

  • In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar
  • Add the maple syrup
  • Mix well
  • Combine the flour and baking soda
  • Gradually add to the creamed mixture
  • Divide the dough in eight portions.
  • Roll each portion into a 9-inch log
  • Place 3 inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet
  • Bake at 300 F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned
  • Cut into 1-inch slices
  • Remove to wire racks to cool
  • Dut with confectioners' sugar
