How to make it

  • In a large bowl, combine broccoli, raisins, onions, sunflower seeds, and celery (if using)
  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise , sugar and vinegar. Pour over broccoli mixture; toss to coat. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Just before serving,
  • sprinkle on bacon and toss. If bacon is cooked ahead of time, warm it in the microwave. NOTE: We like more than !/2 cup of celery in it.
  • often serve it with out bacon. We like it both ways.
  • I plump the raisins in hot water, then drain them before adding them.
  • Sugar can be adjusted to taste. I add less.
