Foolproof Pie Crust

- Serves makes 3 9-inch crust
This recipe comes from Jackie Olden who I used to listen to her radio cook show in the 70's.It makes the best pie crust ever,flaky,tasty and simple to make. For the shortening,I use half butter half margarine.
Ingredients
- 4 c flour shopping list
- 1 3/4 c vegetable shortening shopping list
- 1 T.sugar shopping list
- 2 t. salt shopping list
- 1 T. vinegar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 c cold water shopping list
How to make it
- Mix 1st four ingredients with a fork.In a seperate bowl,beat remaining ingredients.Combine mixtures,stir with a fork until moistened.Form into a ball,flatten.Chill at least 15 mins.Can be chilled 3 days or freezes well.
