Profiterole Puffs

- PUFFS: shopping list
- 3/4 c water shopping list
- 1/4 c butter or margarine shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/4 c all purpose flour shopping list
- 3 eggs lightly beaten shopping list
- FILLING & TOPPING: shopping list
- 1 container (8oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed (have fun try different flavors!) shopping list
- 1/2 c powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/4 c prepared chocolate frosting melted shopping list
- chopped nuts optional shopping list
- Mini muffin pan (LOVE my Pampered Chef) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375
- Puffs:
- In saucepan combine water butter and salt
- Bring to a boil over high heat
- Add flour all at once
- Stir mix vigorously about 1 minute or until mix leaves sides of pans and forms into a ball
- Remove from heat right away
- Add eggs and whisk until smooth and very thick
- Lightly spray a mini muffin pan
- Use a small scoop and put batter into pan slots
- Bake 22-25 minutes (While cooking make filling)
- Remove from heat and make small cut into each puff to release steam
- Cool completely
- Filling:
- Combine the whipped topping and powdered sugar
- Use a accent decorator to pipe into center of each puff
- For topping melt the frosting and drizzle over top. Sprinkle nuts over top if desired
- *Can freeze and thaw 15 minutes before serving*
