How to make it

  • In a large skillet, combine first 5 ingredients and cook over medium heat until vegetables are soft and sausage is browned and crumbled. Drain.
  • Stir in chicken broth, cream soups and next 4 ingredients.
  • Spoon into a lightly greased 3 quart casserole dish and sprinkle with almonds.
  • Bake uncovered at 350 for 90 minutes. Let stand 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
  • Thaw frozen casserole in fridge before baking.
