Hawaiian Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

2 pounds broiler-fryer pieces or chicken breast

to taste salt and pepper

1 (8 1/4oz) can pineapple slices

1/3 cup Heinz 57 sauce

2 tablespoons honey

Directions

Place chicken in a large baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. Bake 30 minutes in 400 degree oven. Meanwhile drain pineapple reserving 2 tablespoons of the juice.

Combine juice, 57 sauce, and honey. Pour over chicken. Bake an additional 25 minutes. Baste occasionally.

Arrange pineapple slices over chicken and bake 10 minutes longer. Drain excess fat from the sacue. Spoon over chicken.

I really like teriyaki chicken and make it often, in fact it is a "go to recipe" when i don't know what else to make. Japanese style teriyaki, korean style teriyaki, spicy teriyaki chicken with chilli pepper flakes, orange teriyaki,etc. but i don't remember ever seeing it with heinz 57 sauce and that sound like it would be very good....i got to try that!
