How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine crabmeat, spinach, cheeses, onions, egg & salt, mix well.
  • Fill shells and place in a 9x13 glass baking dish lightly coated with cooking spray.
  • To make Parmesean Cheese Sauce:
  • In saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour, stir until bubbly. Add milk & stir until thickened, 2-3 minutes. Add cheese, salt , pepper & a pinch of nutmeg and stir until cheese melts, about 5 minutes.
  • Top manicotti with Parmesean cheese sauce.
  • Bake uncovered, until bubbly,about 25-30 minutes.

    Ooooooooooooooooooohh, me likes. This inspires me. And I get paid today. Yay! I might use alfredo sauce instead if I'm running short on time, but the spirit of your dish will be there.

    I just used up my spinach, but I'm going to buy more and the manicotti too. I have immitation crab, I know it's better with the real thing, but that's what I have in the fridge. Only other thing i'll do is add a pinch of nutmeg. It really does something to the spinach! Thanks for a great post...love it!

    I like the sound of the cheese sauce. I think I have everything I need to make this..... except I don't have crabs.
