German Style Green Beans

This was one of my husbands favorite ways to prepare green beans. We usually served this dish along with bratwurst or Polish sausage, hoagie rolls and mustard!
Ingredients
- Ingredients: shopping list
- 4 slices bacon, diced shopping list
- 1/3 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 2 tbsp sugar shopping list
- 1 tbsp flour shopping list
- 3 tbsp vinegar shopping list
- 16 oz can green beans, (drained) reserving 1/3 cup liquid shopping list
How to make it
- Preparation:
- In medium frying pan, cook bacon with onions until bacon is crisp, drain.
- Stir in sugar, flour, vinegar and reserved liquid until smooth, heat until thickened, stirring constantly, Add beans and heat through.
