How to make it

  • Trim the fat from the pork chops and use it to grease a large skillet.
  • Over high heat, brown each chop on both sides. As each chop is finished, season with salt and pepper before placing in the stoneware.
  • Scrape the pan juices and turn them into the stoneware.
  • Add chopped onion, beef broth and beef cubes.Cover and cook on low for about 7 hours.
  • Add black-eyed peas with juice, cover and cook for an additional 2 hours on low.

    Pork chops and black eyed peas... one of my boyfriends childhood comfort foods, and he still loves them.... spicy only makes them better! Great post, sir... I think it needs a pic, soon, huh? ;)
