Soft Garlic Breadsticks

- 1 1/8 cups water (70-80 degrees F) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons olive or canola oil shopping list
- 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 4 teaspoons garlic powder shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon minced fresh basil shopping list
- 3 cups bread flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter or stick margarine, melted shopping list
How to make it
- 1. In the bread machine pan place the first 9 ingredients in order as recommended by the manufacturer.
- 2. Select dough setting ( check after about 5 minutes of mixing, add 1-2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed)
- 3. When dough is finished turn on to a lightly floured surface.
- 4. Divide into 20 portions.
- 5. Shape each into a ball, roll into a 9 in rope, and then place on greased baking sheet.
- 6. Cover and let rise in a wrm place for 40 minutes or until doubled.
- 7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 18-232 minutes or until golden brown.
- 8. Remove to wire racks.
- 9. Brush warm breadsticks with butter.
- If you dont want to cook them all now then you can freeze them and pull them out when you need them, bake and brush with melted butter.
