How to make it

  • Whisk the butter and sugar together till it becomes creamy. Add the vanilla essence and keep aside.
  • Sift the flour, (optional: cornstarch) and baking powder together. Add in the creamy mixture and fold in till it becomes a thick dough. [Tip: Make the dough into a ball to easily remove it later]
  • Keep the dough in the refridgerator for atleast an hour.
  • Roll out the dough and cut into little biscuits or bars. Prick all over with a fork and place it on a baking tray.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees celcius for around 10 minutes.
  • Allow it to cool and serve; advisable toppings are chocolate spread, jam or icing sugar.
