Healthy Fish Sticks

- Canola or cooking spray shopping list
- 1 cups whole wheat cereal flakes (I used raisin bran flakes) shopping list
- 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup cornstarch shopping list
- 2 large egg whites, beaten shopping list
- 1 pound of your favorite fish fillets, cut into 1/2 by 3 inch strips shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- 2. Set a wire rack on a baking sheet and coat with cooking spray.
- 3. Place the cereal flakes and the breadcrumbs, lemon pepper, garlic powder and paprika and salt in a food processor or blender and process until finely ground. Transfer to a shallow dish.
- 4. Place the cornstarch in another shallow dish and egg whites in another.
- 5. Dredge each strip in the cornstarch, then the egg and then the breadcrumbs.
- 6. Place on the prepared rack and spray both sides of the breaded fish with cooking spray so it will not stick.
- 7. Bake until the fish is cooked through and the breading is golden brown and crisp, about 10 minutes.
