Ingredients

How to make it

  • 1. Melt butter in saucepan. Add chopped beef and mustard, and allow to caramelize just a bit.
  • 2. Add milk and bring to a simmer. Make a slurry of the cornstarch and water, and slowly stir into the mixture in the saucepan. Bring back to a simmer and cook until thickened.
  • 3. Adjust seasoning; if salting, using with a light hand.
  • 4. Serve over toast or biscuits, and scrambled eggs.
  • NOTE: The Armour site suggests serving with a side of ARMOUR® STAR CORNED BEEF HASH.

I generally use one can Cream of Celery soup, one can Cream of Chicken soup and a can of Milk for the sauce base instead of just milk and water--But the spicy mustard sounds like a great addition-I'll try it next time. And of course it must be served with peas (steam fresh frozen).
    Thanks for the post
