Korean Style Kalbi Ribs

- 2 pounds beef short ribs shopping list
- 1 cup tamari sauce shopping list
- 1 inch piece fresh grated ginger shopping list
- 3 cloves minced garlic shopping list
- 4 scallions, finely sliced shopping list
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar...dark, light...doesn't matter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients, except ribs, in a resealable gallon size plastic bag See Photo. Squish to combine. Add ribs and refrigerate for at least 3 hours up to overnight. See Photo
- Prepare barbeque. Remove ribs from marinade, discard the marinade.
- Grill ribs over direct heat until they reach desired doneness...mine usually take 3-4 minutes per side.

i am going to make this with lamb ribs - had a 1/2 sheep from a farm supplier and there are heaps of nice meaty ribs for bbq use - i might even use some of that thick mint sauce for bit of extra zing (only because i love the stuff on lamb :-) )

it will taste superb - the brown sugar especially gives a good flavour to pork so it will do the same with lamb i am sure.
