Bourbon Bacon Sweets With A Twist

- 8 sweet potatoes shopping list
- 4 tbsp of unsalted butter shopping list
- juice of two limes shopping list
- 2 tbsp. of lemongrass from the squeeze tube shopping list
- 1 tbsp of grated ginger shopping list
- 1/2 half teaspoon thyme shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper shopping list
- 3 ounces of Makers Mark bourbon shopping list
- 1/3 cup of dark brown sugar shopping list
- splash of real maple syrup to moisten, not pancake syrup shopping list
- 12 ounces of crispy cooked bacon crumbled shopping list
- Topping shopping list
- 3/4 cup of toasted chopped pecans shopping list
- toasted in three tbsp. of nutty browned butter shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of cinnamon shopping list
- several shakes of bacon salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- half a dozen crushed club crackers shopping list
How to make it
- Poke potatoes.
- Bake one hour on foil lined baking sheet, 400 degrees.
- Cool, peel, mash.
- Add seasonings up to and including bacon.
- Put in nonstick sprayed casserole dish.
- Cover and chill.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix nuts, a smidge more butter,sugar and cracker crumbs. Season with bacon salt and cinnamon.
- Top casserole.
- Bake 30 minutes til bubbly and heated through.
