How to make it

  • Cover tomatoes with boiling water and skins can easily be removed.
  • Add sugar and let set overnight.
  • In the morning pour off the syrup and boil until thick.
  • Skim off the foam then add tomatoes, ginger and lemons which have been sliced and parboiled.
  • Cook until tomatoes have clarified appearance.

    I love yellow tomatoes..I tried to make 'yellow' tomato sauce..looks like pumpkin with the b. sugar and spices added..I labeled these very well..I mean I'd hate to make 'pumpkin' pie with for this will try it for christmas..
