Rice Pilaf

- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup orzo pasta shopping list
- 1/2 cup diced onion shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic shopping list
- 1/2 cup uncooked white rice shopping list
- 2 cups chicken broth shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium to low heat.
- 2. Cook and stir orzo pasta until golden brown and stir in onion and cook until onion becomes translucent, and then add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- 3. Mix in the rice and chicken broth. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium low cover and simmer until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed 20-25 minutes.
- 4. Remove from the heat and let stand for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
