How to make it

  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt
  • Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Add whipping cream, blend.
  • Add milk.
  • Let set 5 min.
  • Should be soft dough. Turn out onto floured surface and knead gently for 30 seconds, don't over do it!
  • I just pat out the dough to 1/2 in. thickness.
  • cut into rounds with cutter or glass and place on greased cookie sheet. If you use stoneware, you don't need to grease.
  • Bake at 400 degree oven for 15 min.
