Baked Mac & Cheese Ii

- 1 pound of elbow macaroni shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 3 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon powdered mustard shopping list
- 3 cups milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup yellow onion finely diced shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1/2 teasponn paprika shopping list
- 1 large egg shopping list
- 12 ounces sharp cheddar shredded shopping list
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt shopping list
- fresh black pepper shopping list
- Topping shopping list
- bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 2. In large pot of boiling salted water add the pasta to al dente
- 3. While the pasta is cooking in another pot melt the butter and whick in the flour and mustard and keep stiring for about 5 minutes. Make sure there is no lumps. Stir in the milk, onion, bay leaf and paprika. Simmer for about 10 minutes and remove the bay leaf.
- 4. Temper in the egg and stir in 3/4 of the cheese season with the salt and pepper. Fold the macaroni into the mix and pour into a 1 quart casserole dish and top with the remaining cheese.
- 5. Bake for 30 minutes.
