How to make it

  • Chop shallots, cut mushrooms into medium or large pieces (your choice).
  • Sauté shallots and mushrooms in butter until tender.
  • Stir in enough flour to absorb liquid.
  • Season w/salt and pepper, stir in broth, cook until thickened and bubbly.
  • Stir in ½ + ½, heat gently.
  • Serve hot.
