Classic Bruschetta

- 1 baguette shopping list
- 2 containers fresh grape tomatoes shopping list
- about 30 large fresh basil leaves shopping list
- at least 1/2 cup shaved or shredded parmesan shopping list
- 1/2 cup olive oil shopping list
- salt & pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil, set aside.
- Cut baguette into thin, flat slices; about 1/4 of an inch thick. Arrange baguette slices on baking sheets, making sure not to overlap. Brush slices generously with olive oil. Top each slice with a small amount of parmesan, saving some for garnish. Bake baguette slices for 6 minutes, or until golden & crispy.
- Meanwhile, dice tomatoes & set aside in a small bowl. Chop basil into thin slices & add to bowl. Mix together, adding salt & freshly ground pepper to taste.
- Once baguette slices are done, spoon a small amount of tomato mixture onto each, then top with freshly shaved parmesan. Arrange on a platter & serve at room temperature.
