Caramel Candy Pie

- 25-30 light chewy caramels shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 2 tsp cornstarch shopping list
- pinch salt shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 baked 9" pie crust shopping list
How to make it
- Melt caramels in 1 cup of milk in top of double boiler. Beat egg yolks well and add to 1 cup milk and cornstarch. When caramels have melted, mix with egg mixture, adding salt. Return to top of double boiler to heat and cook until thick, stirring constantly. When thickened, add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue or whipped cream.
