How to make it

  • Cut the shortening wtih biscuit mix
  • Add water and mix until forms a ball of dough
  • Roll out and place in a pie plate and trim
  • Set aside
  • In skillet cook beef and onion until done and drain
  • Stir in soup and seasonongs and bring to a boil
  • Reduce heat simmer uncovered for 5 minutes
  • Pour into pie shell
  • Top with carrots and mushrooms
  • Spread potatoes on top
  • Bake uncovered at 425 for 15 minutes
  • Reduce to 350 and Bake 15 minutes longer until golden
  • Sprinkle with cheese and let stand 5-10 minutes
