Baked Tomatoes, The Ultimate Side Dish

- 1 large tomato shopping list
- 4 cups fresh spinach (or frozen) shopping list
- 2-3 tbsp cream cheese shopping list
- 2 tbsp parmesan cheese shopping list
- 3 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 2 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1 tsp kosher salt, plus one shopping list
- fresh cracked pepper shopping list
- pinch paprika shopping list
- 4 slice American cheese shopping list
- 1 tbsp margarine shopping list
How to make it
- Slice tomato into four equal slices and season with salt and pepper. Set aside. In a skillet over medium heat add margarine and wilt (or defrost) spinach. Once wilted (or heated thoroughly) add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and paprika. Saute for 3-4 minutes. Add cream cheese and stir until half melted and add Parmesan cheese. Combine and turn off heat. On a greased cookie sheet, space out tomatoes evenly and top with creamed spinach. On top of spinach, place slice of American cheese and bake at 350* until cheese is melted and begins to turn brown.
- Note: to make this recipe even quicker, use pre-made creamed spinach
