How to make it

  • Slice tomato into four equal slices and season with salt and pepper. Set aside. In a skillet over medium heat add margarine and wilt (or defrost) spinach. Once wilted (or heated thoroughly) add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and paprika. Saute for 3-4 minutes. Add cream cheese and stir until half melted and add Parmesan cheese. Combine and turn off heat. On a greased cookie sheet, space out tomatoes evenly and top with creamed spinach. On top of spinach, place slice of American cheese and bake at 350* until cheese is melted and begins to turn brown.
  • Note: to make this recipe even quicker, use pre-made creamed spinach
