How to make it

  • Put the desired amount of herbs and spices into your breadcrumbs and lay them out on a plate next to your bowl of beaten eggs. Cut each Basa fillet in half to make 4, then rinse and pat them dry with paper towels. Submerge them into the beaten eggs making sure they coat well. Immediately coat them with the breadcrumb mixture and coat evenly. If you'd like you may put the coated fish into the fridge for an hour or so to allow the breading to set, but it's not necessary. Melt the margarine into a pan and place the breaded fillets right in there. Add more spices at this stage if desired, especially if you have damaged taste buds like me. Allow the breading to turn golden-brown and then flip, but try not to flip them more than 2-3 times or you risk losing the breading. Once done, serve hot, squeeze lemon juice over it and enjoy.
