How to make it

  • Dissolve yeast, sugar and salt in warm water in large bowl. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add blueberries ( if using frozen berries, allow them to come to room temperature first)
  • Slowly and Gently add flour
  • Stir dough, slowly adding flour, until dough is stiff and pulls away from sides of bowl.
  • Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead. Some berries will pop, but knead GENTLY and don't over-knead.
  • Place dough in large, covered, greased bowl and allow to rise in warm place until doubled (about 45 minutes) See Photo
  • Turn onto floured surface and gently knead again.
  • Shape dough into a loaf and place in large greased loaf pan.
  • Cover and allow to rise in warm place for about an hour.
  • Bake at 350 F for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Enjoy! Makes one large loaf.
