How to make it

  • Chop garlic and fry in peanut oil until golden. Remove from heat before it becomes too dark as garlic will continue to cook. Spoon into a small bowl and keep aside until pak choi is cooked.
  • Wash pak choi, then cut in half down the centre ensuring core is intact.
  • Place pak choi on a plate and steam in bamboo steamer until stems are just cooked.
  • Drizzle oyster sauce over pak choi, then crispy garlic and sesame oil.
  • Serve immediately.
