How to make it

  • 1. In a saucepan over low heat simmer cranberries dates and water for 15 minutes stirring occasionally or until the cranberies have popped then remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and set aside.
  • 2. In a bowl combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt stir in the butter until well blended pat half into an ungreased 13 x 9in x 2 in baking pan bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
  • 3. spoon the cranbery mixture over crust sprinkle with remaining oat mixture pat gently, bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until browned cool
  • 4. combine glaze ingredients drizzle over bars and then cut
