Grilled Oranges in Maple and Grand Marnier

- 4 medium oranges shopping list
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup shopping list
- 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier liqueur or cointreau shopping list
- butter, melted shopping list
- creme fraiche to serve shopping list
How to make it
- Pull a sheet of aluminum foil large enough to wrap around an orange.
- Pull another the same size and put it over the first to create a double-layer. Repeat for other 3 oranges.
- Brush the center of each square with plenty of melted butter.
- Peel the oranges, removing all the white stuff and catch the juices in a bowl while you peel.
- Slice the oranges crosswise into thick slices.
- Reassemble the oranges and place each orange on a square of the aluminum foil.
- Tuck the foil up around the oranges so they keep their shape, but leave an opening at the top.
- Mix together the reserved orange juice, maple syrup and liqueur.
- Spoon the mixture over the oranges.
- Add a pat of butter to each orange "package" .
- Grill on a hot grill for 10-12 minutes.
- Serve with cream fraiche.
