How to make it

  • Season steak with pepper and dredge it in the flour, shaking off any excess.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, brown the steak over medium-high heat.
  • Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the rest of the ingredients, bring to a boil.
  • Return steak to the skillet and baste with sauce.
  • Cover and cook over medium-low heat for about 5 hours, or until the steak is very tender.
  • NOTE: To speed up the cooking time you can cut the meat into cubes.
