Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and lightly spray the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish with pam
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and saute the asparagus for about 10 minutes
  • Stir in the mushrooms and garlic and cook until the mushrooms are tender
  • Set aside
  • Prepare sauce according to the package directions
  • Stir into mushroom mixture
  • Lay one sheet of pastry into the prepared pan, with extra coming up the sides
  • Beat the egg and use as an agg wash for the top of the bottom crust. This helps to keep the bottom from getting soggy
  • Spread evenly with the mushroom mixture
  • Top with the other sheet of pastry and pinch together to seal
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the pastry is golden brown
  • Cool for a few minutes before serving.
