How to make it

  • Heat 3 tbsp butter with 2 tbsp olive oil in frying pan.
  • Saute onions & mushrooms till tender, remove from pan,
  • Dredge steak in flour mixture: 2 cups flour, salt & pepper to taste, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp thyme, 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Mix dry soup mix, wine, and sauces in a 2 cup measuring glass, add enough water to measure 2 cups
  • Fry steaks in frying pan on both sides till brown (do not overcook them)
  • Remove from pan and continue till all steaks are browned
  • Scrap pan for drippings
  • Add soup mix to pan, bring to boil
  • Add steaks and vegetables to pan and cook over medium heat to incorporate all flavors,
  • If sauce is too thick, add a little water at a time, (Do not add too much to make sauce soupy)
  • Serve over pasta, rice or fresh sliced bread
  • Option: I added fresh peas to the pan also
