How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a bowl.
  • Using your hands, mix all ingredients together well so that they are mixed evenly.
  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Form burger mixture into 4 patties
  • If you feel you'll need lubrication, drizzle a little olive oil in your heated pan.
  • Place patties in heated pan (as many as comfortably fit)
  • Flip after 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Let cook for one more minute, turn the heat to medium low and put a lid on the pan.
  • Cook for around 7 minutes or until you feel they're done. Searing the top and bottom and then cooking on low heat with a covered pan will allow the inside to cook fully without drying out the burger.
  • To serve, I enjoy these on whole wheat buns. If you're feeling adventurous, I highly suggest spreading a little greek yogurt on instead of mayonnaise.
