How to make it

  • 1. Peel bananas; cut each into thirds. Insert a wooden stick into each banana piece; place on wax paper-covered tray. Cover; freeze until firm.
  • 2. Place chocolate chips and shortening in a medium-microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 & 1/2 - 2 minutes or until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.
  • 3. Remove bananas from freezer just before dipping. Dip each piece into warm chocolate, covering completely; allow excess to drip off. Immediately roll in peanuts. Cover; return to freezer. Serve frozen.
