How to make it

  • Grease a 1lb loaf tin
  • Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well
  • Press lightly into the loaf tin
  • Cover with foil and bake in a moderate oven for I hour, by which time it should be set but if in doubt, give it another 10 minutes.
  • Served hot with veg, it's really good accompanied with onion or cheese sauce.
  • Cold, it slices nicely for sandwich filling or as a cold main with salad.
